The NASDAQ Biotechnology Index is a modified market capitalization-weighted index designed to measure the performance of all NASDAQ stocks in the biotechnology sector. The index was developed with a base value of 200 as of November 1, 1993. See IBB US Equityfor tradeable equivalent.
