Think your gas bill is high? Imagine shelling out $9.89 a gallon -- the price at the pump in Turkey. The average Pakistani or Indian would have to put in more than a full day's work, on average, to afford a single gallon of gas in his country.

Gas prices are from Jan. 3-18. Ranking includes select countries with a minimum income of $3.50 a day per person. Prices are in U.S. dollars per gallon of regular unleaded gasoline. As octane levels for "regular" gasoline vary internationally, the cheapest option was used for each country.
