The 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show is a showcase for environmentally friendly vehicles, including a new version of the Fiat 500, called the 500e, General Motors Chevrolet Spark EV and BMW's Concept among electrics at the show.
California accounted for more than 11 percent of U.S. light-vehicle sales this year and requires the biggest automakers to sell increasing numbers of what it calls zero-emission vehicles.
The event runs from Nov. 30 to Dec. 9 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
