This week First Lady Michelle Obama hosted her first state dinner for kids; the Hirshhorn galleries were covered in vinyl by artist Barbara Kruger; and Evidence, A Dance Company threw a benefit in the Hamptons.

At the first "Kids' State Dinner," water was served in mini Mason jars equipped with striped straws. Every guest received a book compiling their winning recipes.
