The Robin Hood Foundation annual gala on May 14, 2012 raised $57 million to help 200 nonprofits fight poverty in New York City.

The party at the Javits Center introduced 3,800 guests to the "Robin Hood Subway," created for the event. The E line represented the foundation's work in education; the C line, early childhood and youth; the S line, survival and the J line, jobs and economic security.
