<p>Four decades after the movie "Jaws" gave shivers to ocean lovers, many would-be scuba divers still fear a face-to-face encounter with a shark. While the likelihood is small, those who make the plunge need a bit of courage to forget their fears and thrill in viewing fish, shipwrecks and endless natural beauty. Renting equipment is easy, but if you buy, your gear will likely fit better and you will be more familiar with it.
